About The Speaker.
Mr Mandla Selby Maseko is a qualified, skilled and experienced performing arts management specialist and consultant. He holds a Master of Arts degree (Arts, Culture and Heritage Management) Wits University, 2017; a BA Dramatic Arts Honours degree, Wits University, 1999. In addition, he holds a Marketing Management certificate from the University of South Africa, 2003 as well as a Projects management certificate from Pro-Active Public Institute, 2006. He is currently the acting Chief Executive (CEO) of the Downtown Music Hub (an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture) and also a Lecturer at Tshwane University of Technology teaching Research Methods in the Arts and Arts Administration course. His employment history includes project management at the national department of education for over 10 years; ministerial appoints to serve on arts and culture task teams, committees and boards. His credentials in the music industry include serving in the following boards and committees:Chairperson of the Association of Independent Record Companies of South Africa (AIRCO)–2016 to 2019
Executive Director and Deputy Chairperson of Moshito Music Conference and Exhibitions 2014 to 2017
